Focusing on territorial narratives, always the result of human action on nature, this architect, pilot, aerial photographer, and professor uses his images as a platform to aesthetically analyze how we interact with the planet. Born in England in 1968 and raised in Mallorca, he studied at the ETSA del Vallès and teaches at the ESEIAAT and the New York Institute of Technology. His inspiration for creating meta-metropolitan interpretations comes from American photographers such as William Garnett—the father of territorial interpretation—and Adriel Heisey. His travels around the world and his interest in the atmosphere as a catalyst for the planet and his journeys are reflected in these pages.
His passion for aerial photography began 15 years ago with his first flights over Europe in a Fokker 100, where he observed how different cultures and climates adapt to the landscape, and how cities reflect their flaws and potential, as well as the hybridization of urban plans.
Taken from aircraft moving at speeds between 400 and 900 km/h, their photographs document the current state of the planet and prompt reflection on whether we are seeing the last images of the territory before extreme climate change.
