Exhibition: “CCP_15 years of comparative architectures”

Opening: 10th April 2026

MUHBA Oliva Artés, Barcelona

ATHC Sports Hall designed by the architects Xavier Vancells and Jaume Armengol forms part of the itinerant exhibition “CCP_15 years of comparative architectures”, which will open in Barcelona, at the MUHBA_Oliva Artés, on April 16, 2026, which will end on April 10 June and later will travel to other countries.

On the occasion of the UNESCO World Capital of Architecture 2026, the exhibition is organized by the platform Cities Connection Project (CCP) bringing together projects from a large part of the studies that have participated in the set of connections between the end of the year, together with various projects selected during the traveling exhibitions in other cities.

The project by Vancells and Armengol consists in a radical construction made 100% in wood. The presence of nature in its surroundings creates an atmosphere of great light and environmental quality that the building aims to integrate with its maximum material transparency.

CCP is a platform founded by Nicola Regusci and Xavier Bustos in 2012, with the objective of creating a network of cultural connections between European cities and regions that share a strong architectural tradition, while highlighting contemporary architecture and urbanism.
